Visual Proof That Enzogenol® Works
Studies prove that deteriorating eyesight from aging could be decelerated with Enzogenol®. They also show that distance vision may be improved.
In clinical trails carried out in Christchurch, New Zealand 60 elderly residents from aged care facilities took part in a double-blind, controlled study.
30 of the participants were given Enzogenol® and 60mg of vitamin C daily, while 30 were give vitamin C only.
Data from this study suggests that Enzogenol® is beneficial to vision.
A combined calculation of both distant and near vision (acuity of vision) showed a deterioration rate of five times less in the Enzogenol® group.
Macular degeneration is a chief cause of visual impairment in the aged. Prevention is a priority in reducing impact of this visual impairment disease.

The Global Community Is Aging.
With this we need to understand the effect cognitive impairment has on the aging population. For both those whose physical abilities remain good and those who are limited, cognitive impairment can threaten their quality of life.
Scientific conclusions in the recent past now support the view that helping the aging to retain their mental acuteness and halt the progress of mental impairment of their cognitive function is feasible.
Studies indicate that the adult brain’s ability to be flexible is greater than earlier believed, able to develop fresh dendrites and possibly neurons. 1 2 3
This is good news.
It means the brain can repair damage, damage that can cause cognitive impairment.
So what is cognitive impairment?
Cognition is the process by which knowledge is acquired, through acts of perception, reasoning, intuition. When these capabilities do not function correctly our cognitive ability is impaired.
As more research is done, attention is being paid to the possibility that antioxidants added to the diet through supplements could maintain cognitive capacity as we age and may help to halt ... Read more »
Your Depression Can Be Zapped Naturally!
Your Depression Can Be Zapped!
Depression can be a black hole for some - hopefully not you. But having the blues occasionally is normal for everyone. The time to take action is if bouts of depression take place on a regular basis.
It is a good idea to reassess your diet at this stage. A change of diet can help you beat depression. By eating smaller meals at regular times during the day with the purpose of upping your serotonin levels. This chemical in your brain has a calming feel good effect. Then look at your nutrition, as it is the best defense for zapping depression.
There are a few food rules to help you fight the blues.
Carbohydrates help to produce serotonin and too little carbohydrates can lead to changes in your mood. No carb binges though, find natural sources, not the processed junk food. Read the labels - they sure give a reality check.
Oily fish are a great source of mood ‘pick-me-ups’. Salmon and mackerel are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and a high quality protein source too.
These fatty acids also help prevent many other diseases like stroke and heart disease. Omega 3 combined with antioxidants may help in the prevention and treatment of some cancers. Salmon fish also has a good dollop of selenium, an essential antioxidant mineral. Enzogenol – When Natural Means Just That.
What are Proanthocyanidins?
Sit back with a glass of red wine and I’ll try to explain.
A natural antioxidant supplement - proanthocyanidins are found in plants. Plants like the grape that glass of wine you’re drinking comes from. Not actually essential for human life, these natural antioxidants can and do supplement our nutritional needs.
How?
Consuming natural antioxidant supplements such as flavonoids, which include the proanthocyanidins can provide a wide range of benefits to individual health.
The more widespread natural antioxidant supplements in use are Vitamin C & E. Research has established that these natural antioxidant supplements -proanthocyanidins - are more effective than Vitamin C, 20 times more effective and possibly 50 times more effective than Vitamin E.1
Sources of proanthocyanidins include the following:
Apples
Grape seed and Grape skin
Cocoa
Black Currants
Pine Bark
Green Tea
Black Tea
Cranberries
Proanthocyanidin research found that by ingesting a modest amount of this natural antioxidant supplement it effectively kicked the antioxidant defence mechanism to a higher rate. This research, done in India suggests that ... Read more »
